A security incident at Kim Kardashian’s Hidden Hills estate resulted in a 27-year-old man being taken into custody on Sunday, though there is already disagreement over how far he actually got onto the property. Authorities claim the suspect burglarized the home while it was being renovated, while sources close to Kardashian maintain that he never made it inside the residence.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to the gated community shortly before 4 p.m. on August 9 after receiving reports of a man placing items into a vehicle at Kardashian’s property. The home was unoccupied at the time, as Kardashian and her children have been staying elsewhere while renovations are underway.
According to law enforcement sources cited by TMZ, the suspect allegedly broke through a door and took items from inside the home. He is also accused of stealing a vehicle belonging to one of Kardashian’s employees and driving it through the neighborhood. A security guard reportedly noticed the vehicle and tracked it back to the estate, leading to deputies being contacted.
Kardashian’s team is pushing back on a major detail in the reported incident. Sources close to her claim the man never entered the actual residence and that none of her personal belongings are being stored at the property during the renovation period. This has created questions about what authorities reportedly saw being placed into the vehicle and the origin of those items.
Deputies eventually surrounded the estate and took the suspect into custody without any further trouble. He was booked on suspicion of burglary. No injuries were reported, and authorities said the man was not found with any weapons.

In 2022, another man reportedly gained access through the gated community before security personnel stopped him near her home. At the time, deputies said the individual had appeared in surveillance footage connected to the property in the past.
