Yung Miami Sends Message To Her Critics Ahead Of Debut Solo Album

When Yung Miami and JT ended the City Girls, many wondered what their individual solo careers would look like. JT quickly began making moves on her own, while Miami took more time to carefully plan her next steps.

Amid the group’s split, the Diddy legal case unfolded, bringing additional public attention and scrutiny toward Yung Miami. The situation sparked even more questions about the direction of her career. However, in 2026, Miami has started silencing critics with the release of “Spend Dat.” The track has been gaining momentum on the charts and has been recognized as one of hip-hop’s standout songs of the summer.

Now, with plans to release her debut solo album before the end of the year, Yung Miami is ready for her next chapter. In a new interview with Billboard, she shared a message for those who have doubted her.

“I wanted to go back to my roots and what inspires me about being from Miami; the culture and the music and the environment shaped me to be who I am today,” Yung Miami said. “This album is about everything I’ve been through and pulling myself out of survival mode to get back to a space to create. I’m definitely going there, but also having fun. I surprise myself whenever I listen to it; I cry, I dance, I’m actually gagging myself. I really created an album! People are about to eat their words.”

The phrase “People are about to eat their words” carries a lot of weight, reflecting the frustrations Yung Miami has experienced over the last few years. She has faced plenty of criticism and public opinions about her career, but she continues to push forward and prove herself.

Although matching the success of “Spend Dat” could be a difficult challenge, it is clear that Yung Miami is confident and ready to take on the moment.
