Kehlani Puts Tour on Hold Following Hospital Visit

Two dates on Kehlani’s ongoing tour have been postponed after an unexpected health issue landed the singer in the hospital and left her unable to perform.

Kehlani updated fans on social media Wednesday (August 26), revealing that she had been feeling fine during her scheduled breaks before suddenly becoming sick overnight. “I’ve been up all night unable to swallow & in so much pain,” she wrote, explaining that she had recently been discharged from the hospital and was not cleared by doctors to sing for her next two performances.

The affected shows include Wednesday’s concert at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, and Thursday’s stop at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, near Washington, D.C. Kehlani said her team is working on next steps for both dates but did not confirm if they will be rescheduled.

The postponed performances are part of the North American leg of The Kehlani World Tour, which has been traveling through the East Coast this month.

“Breaks my heart to have to ever do this,” Kehlani continued. “I do everything I’m supposed to to ensure my health stays up to par & it still isn’t guaranteed.”

The singer did not reveal a specific diagnosis or share further details about what doctors discovered during her hospital visit.

At the moment, the disruption appears to only affect two performances. Kehlani reassured fans, saying, “We will pick back up in Virginia,” with the tour scheduled to resume Saturday (August 29) at Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront in Richmond.
