Robert Pattinson, who once jokingly claimed he belongs firmly in the Gen Z category despite being 40, admits he’s starting to feel the effects of age while filming the highly anticipated sequel to 2022’s The Batman.
In a new interview with GQ, the actor shared a brief update on Matt Reeves’ upcoming sequel, which is not expected to arrive until 2028. Pattinson, who is also preparing to wrap up a busy year with PRIMETIME and Dune: Part Three, opened up about how physically demanding the role has become.
“I’m definitely feeling my age when fighting a lot,” Pattinson said. “I’m literally like, ‘Goddamn, this is significantly harder than it used to be.’ But it’s really fun. And I think the movie’s going to be pretty great. It’s got a really, really fun cast, but it’s a marathon.”
Jeffrey Wright, Sebastian Stan, Colin Farrell, and Scarlett Johansson are among the stars set to join Pattinson for the sequel. If the first film is anything to go by, fans can likely expect another memorable performance from the actor when the movie finally arrives on Feb. 18, 2028.
Before then, Pattinson has plenty on his plate. In PRIMETIME, arriving this month, he takes on the role of Chris Hansen, best known for To Catch a Predator. He will then appear in the new Dune movie in December.
Hansen has reportedly not been particularly pleased about the film, although audiences have been eagerly anticipating its release since news of the project first emerged. Phoebe Bridgers, fresh from the Lost Weekend rollout, also stars in the cast.
