Drake Makes Surprise Appearance During Gordo’s Toronto Set

Drake may not be hitting the road anytime soon, but fans in Toronto have still been getting a taste of the ICEMAN experience over the past week and some change. Most recently, his close collaborator and the mastermind behind MAID OF HONOUR, Gordo, performed in Toronto, and naturally, The Boy had to make an appearance. Drizzy took the stage to vibe out to some of his hits while showing the producer some love.

Footage showed Drizzy enjoying “Hoe Phase” and “Over” during Gordo’s set. At one point, though, he paused the show to give Gordo his flowers.

“This is one of my best friends in the world. I’m so f*cking proud tonight just to see this guy get the recognition he’s deserved for so long. We’ve made a lot of music together, we’ve done a lot of things,” Drake said before Gordo launched into “Over.”

For Drake, this is the second time in recent weeks that he’s taken the stage in his hometown to give fans live performances of some of his latest releases. Last week, he joined Don Toliver onstage in Toronto to perform “Janice STFU” and “Burning Bridges.”

Unfortunately, Drake’s surprise appearance during Gordo’s set offered no fresh details about FOMO, the mysterious project expected to arrive later this month. Earlier this year, the rapper teased a fourth release following ICEMAN, MAID OF HONOUR, and HABIBTI. Last week, he confirmed that the project would finally be released on September 15th.

However, it remains unclear whether FOMO is a new album, a music video, or something else entirely. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
