Drake’s mother, Sandra “Sandi” Graham, appears in his FOMO short film.
Featuring “True Bestie” from his Maid of Honour album, the film streamed on Tuesday night (Sept. 15) and showed Drake’s mother shopping with a group of longtime friends before they headed to Toronto’s The Harbour Sixty steakhouse for dinner.
While getting a manicure, the camera focuses on Sandi’s wrist, revealing her “ICEMOM” tattoo.
In another scene, the women are riding in a car when Sandi asks her friends whether they had listened to the “True Bestie” track before meeting up that day.
“I hadn’t listened to everything in Maid of Honour, like the second album that it was in. So, I asked Stephanie to send it to me and I listened to it,” she said. “He didn’t record it himself. There was someone called Iconic Savvy or something—some another person, another rapper, another artist I listened to it and I thought, ‘What the fuck is this?’”
Drake also joins the women as they share a story about one of them insisting that Sandi not name her newborn child “Drake.”
