That friendship came through in a major way recently when Haliburton tied the knot and needed an artist to perform at his wedding. During an interview with Speedy Morman, the NBA star revealed that one major artist quoted him $750K for a performance, while 50 Cent was willing to take the stage for free.
“I was shocked. I was like, ‘That’s not happening. There’s no chance,” Haliburton said of the artist who gave him the hefty price tag. “I ain’t gonna say who was trying to whack me $750,000, but there were a few artists that were trying to go there. There was no chance that was happening.”
Haliburton went on to reveal that he wanted 50 Cent’s performance to remain a surprise. The performance took place during the reception, and only Haliburton and his wife, Jade Jones, knew it was happening.
“No, he didn’t charge me,” Haliburton revealed. “I took care of his accommodations and everything. His love is just, like, that’s family. So forever I got his back forever for that.”
The gesture highlighted the close bond between 50 Cent and Haliburton. Rather than charging the NBA star a major performance fee, the rapper chose to make the special occasion even more memorable. It was a moment that Haliburton and the other wedding guests are unlikely to forget.
