Jay Cinco is speaking candidly about his breakup with Lala Baptiste, making it clear that there are no hard feelings between the former couple.
During a recent livestream, the rapper and streamer looked back on their relationship and explained that his focus now is maintaining a healthy relationship with Baptiste while being there for their daughter, Raine.
“It was a great experience and I’m grateful to have her in my life, for the rest of my life, and I’m pretty sure she could say the same about me,” Cinco said in a clip that circulated on X Sunday. “I just wanna maintain a great relationship with Lala and my daughter and be there for them.”
His remarks came two days after the former couple confirmed their breakup through Instagram Stories on Friday. Cinco, referring to Baptiste by her first name, Nyelah, explained that they mutually decided to end their romantic relationship and focus on themselves.
“Nyelah and I have mutually decided to go our separate ways for now and focus on ourselves,” he wrote. “There’s no bad blood, no big story behind it, and we have nothing but love and respect for each other.”
Cinco also stressed that their co-parenting relationship would remain unchanged despite the split.
“Most importantly, we’ll always be a family and continue showing up together for our daughter, so you’ll still see us all together from time to time,” he added.
Cinco and Baptiste started dating in early 2025 before making their relationship public later that year. In December, they announced they were expecting their first child together. After revealing they were having a girl during a March gender reveal, Cinco proposed to Baptiste just days later during their livestreamed baby shower.
Their daughter, Raine Willow-Dominique Parker, was born in May.
The couple’s relationship became a major part of their online presence as they documented important milestones with their audiences. Their visibility grew even more after they livestreamed a trip to Italy with DDG and India Love. Cinco and Baptiste later returned to the country with their daughter in September, only weeks before announcing their split.
Neither has publicly revealed a specific reason for ending their relationship. For Cinco, though, the priority now appears to be maintaining a strong family bond and focusing on what comes next.
