Logic briefly stopped his recent show in Columbia, Maryland, to address a fan he felt was being disrespectful during his performance.
The rapper returned to his home state for a performance at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia on Sunday (Oct. 4), as part of his current tour with Juicy J and G-Eazy. However, Logic paused the show after noticing an audience member he believed was disrespecting him.
“This guy right here, hold on, stop the music,” he said, as seen in the video below. “This guy, what’d you say? He said it’s whack? You said it’s whack? … He’s like, ‘fuck you.’ I just want to know. Don’t get mad at him! Are you not having a good time? You’re not having a good time? Why are you here?”
After another fan suggested the man may have been saying he wanted to see more of G-Eazy, Logic responded, “Oh, of course we all want G-Eazy, but why are you hating on me, bro? … Do me a favor, do me a favor, because you seem really drunk. Can you do me a solid and just be respectful?”
Logic told the fan that if they didn’t want to be at the show, they could leave. “Stop talking when I’m talking, or I’ll kick you the fuck out, how about that?” he continued. “Now, listen. Can you do me a favor and please respect me when I’m trying to perform?”
The fan then shouted “freedom of speech,” prompting Logic to say that he agreed with the principle, but argued that it shouldn’t come at the expense of basic respect.
“Yeah, freedom of speech, for sure, but can you be respectful, please?” he said. “Peace, love, and positivity, all that. … I’m here to focus on all the fans that are having a good time. So, the last thing I’m going to say is, clearly something is going on with you in your heart and soul, and I just want you to know I wish you the best. … Make some noise for the homie, welcome to the family.”
This isn’t the first time Logic has interrupted one of his concerts to address someone in the crowd. In fact, he did the same thing during a show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre exactly one year earlier, on Oct. 4, 2025. In footage from the moment, Logic stopped the music after noticing a fan texting on their phone.
“Hold up. Motherfucker, are you on your phone texting as I am giving my all?” he asked. “Get this motherfucker out of here.” He then told the crowd not to boo the fan and asked who they were texting. “Your lady. Okay, yeah… He said, ‘My bad,'” Logic continued. “It’s all good. It’s your girl. Do you love her? He loves her. Alright, I feel that.”
