Kanye West has a lengthy history of praising, criticizing, and interacting with some of the most influential and controversial figures in politics and business. Elon Musk is one notable example, as the two have experienced their fair share of disagreements in the past. However, things appear to be on good terms between them again, judging by the tech billionaire’s response to an old clip of Ye.
In the video shared on Twitter, the Chicago superstar can be heard defending Musk amid controversies he had previously faced. “Elon Musk, I don’t give a f**k who’s over [at] his house. Leave that man the f**k alone,” he remarked. “Leave that man the f**k alone. And the thing is, they love to do this. They love to talk s**t. ‘Ha, Elon’s having a bad week.’ If Elon has a bad week, we have a bad life. Leave that man the f**k alone.”
Although the circumstances surrounding the clip remain unclear, Musk responded with appreciation while acknowledging Kanye’s provocative personality. “Kanye has a good heart and is a world champion troll. (Hall of famer),” he wrote on Twitter earlier today (Sunday, November 1). The Yeezy mogul also reposted Musk’s message, suggesting their relationship may be in a better place than before.
Much of their previous tension reportedly stemmed from Elon Musk’s criticism of Kanye West’s antisemitic remarks. However, Ye’s admiration for and public praise of Musk has seemingly remained unchanged despite their earlier disagreement and online exchange.
In fact, Kanye West wants Elon Musk to be on the same page as him regarding their political views and endorsements. Last year, Ye urged Elon and United States President Donald Trump to put an end to their feud over Trump’s proposed spending bill.
Meanwhile, Kanye West recently delivered a major performance at a Houston stadium, marking one of the biggest concerts of his career and a significant moment in hip-hop history. According to footage shared by Kurrco on Twitter, Texas state representative Ron Reynolds presented him with a Global Icon Award following the show.
It appears that many people are beginning to change their stance on Ye, whether positively or negatively. Only time will tell if he does anything down the line that makes them reconsider, as we’ve seen happen in the past.
