On Monday, Drake responded to the news that his surprise release “What Did I Miss?” had landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Suppressor on the 1 spot I’m taking that soon don’t worry one song or another. Rule changes and all,” Drake wrote on Instagram, dropping a mix of serious and laughing emojis alongside the message.

The track made its debut during a July 4 YouTube stream titled “ICEMAN EPISODE 1,” which featured Drake portraying a lunch break worker watching throwback clips of himself in Toronto. “What Did I Miss?” officially hit streaming platforms on July 5.
Drake’s reaction came shortly after his longtime rival Pusha T delivered a sharp critique of the single during a recent Complex News interview. When asked if he liked Drake’s new track, Pusha didn’t hold back with his response.
“Which one is that?” Pusha T responded when asked about the track. After being told the title, he gave a brutally honest take: “No… Just not for me.”
Meanwhile, Drake has been riding high off the success of his three-night run at the Wireless Festival, calling it “the best three nights of my performance career.” Though he admitted he was “at a loss for words” on Instagram, he told fans he needed “some time to process” the unforgettable experience.
During the second night of the festival, things heated up when a “F*ck Kendrick” chant broke out after Drake asked the crowd to “name another artist” who could go head-to-head with him live. In response, he raised his drink and said, “I’ll drink to that.”
Drizzy also took a moment to show love to the UK rap scene, sparking conversation when he told the crowd, “No disrespect to America, but nobody in the world can out-rap London rappers,” as he introduced Skepta.
He recently surprised fans with the release of “What Did I Miss,” while teasing a new project titled Iceman as “coming soon.” If it drops, it’ll be his first solo album since 2023’s For All the Dogs, following his collaborative project with PARTYNEXTDOOR. While details are still under wraps, anticipation is building.
