King Combs Says He Feels ‘Positive’ About Diddy’s Upcoming Sentencing

King Combs says he has “good expectations” about his father Sean “Diddy” Combs’ release following his October sentencing.

Speaking with Billboard, King shared how he and his family are staying optimistic after Diddy was convicted of two federal counts of transporting women across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

“I feel good. The whole family. We feel good,” King said. “We just, you know, humbly, just waiting for the sentencing and waiting for pops to come home. We got good expectations.”

Diddy remains on house arrest until sentencing, as federal prosecutors have argued that his wealth makes him a flight risk and a potential danger to others. Most recently, they pushed a judge to deny his latest bid for release, which included a $50 million bond package with house arrest and travel restrictions.

In a motion challenging his pre-sentencing detention, Diddy’s attorneys argued that his incarceration is unjust, claiming he’s the only person in the U.S. currently jailed for conduct tied to consensual sex under the Mann Act.

“There has literally never been a case like this one […] Sean Combs should not be in jail for this conduct,” the motion stated, adding that the government’s approach “is inconsistent with Justice Department policy,” which usually targets commercial sex exploiters rather than individual participants.

Diddy’s last hope could be a presidential pardon from Donald Trump, who’s said to be considering it. In a recent Newsmax interview, Trump admitted he was undecided.

“He was essentially, I guess, sort of half-innocent,” Trump said. “He was celebrating a victory, but I guess it wasn’t as good of a victory.”

“When I ran for office, he was very hostile,” he added. “It’s hard, you know? We’re human beings. And we don’t like to have things cloud our judgment, right? But when you knew someone and you were fine, and then you run for office, and he made some terrible statements. So I don’t know…it makes it more difficult to do.”
