Young Thug to Regain Seized Assets From YSL RICO Case

Looks like Young Thug could be getting back some of the items taken during his RICO case.

According to Fox 5 Atlanta, a Fulton County judge has thrown out the civil forfeiture case linked to the YSL trial. That decision clears the way for the newly released rapper to reclaim property that includes $150,000 in cash, a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette, a 2022 Porsche 911, three Mercedes-Benz vehicles, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 2018 Lamborghini, multiple firearms, and a collection of jewelry.

Thug’s legal team argued that prosecutors blew past the deadline to keep the civil forfeiture case alive.

On Monday (Aug. 18), Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker sided with Young Thug but made it clear that the state can still appeal. If they do, none of his property will be released until the appeal plays out.

Following the ruling, Deputy District Attorney Jeff DiSantis issued a statement:

“While we are gratified that the defendant will not be receiving gang-related jewelry back, we are perplexed that Judge Whitaker dismissed the case based on a timeline requested by defense counsel and a date the court set for trial. We are evaluating the case now for possible appeal considering that strange procedural history.”

The items in question were seized during the high-profile YSL gang and racketeering trial. Thug spent May 2022 to October 2024 behind bars before striking a plea deal. His sentence included five years in prison (commuted to time served), 15 years of probation, and a “backloaded” 20-year term that would kick in only if he violates probation.

Earlier this year, in February, some of Thug’s jewelry was handed back to Rafaello & Company Inc. — including a Rolex Datejust engraved “King Slime,” a diamond cross pendant, diamond stud earrings, and a 13-diamond ring, among other pieces.
