‘American Idol’ Alum Jordin Sparks Takes on Hosting Role for ‘America’s Real Deal’ on The Roku Channel

Jordin Sparks is stepping into a new role as host.

The Grammy-nominated singer and American Idol winner is now leading America’s Real Deal, a modern business competition series set to premiere on The Roku Channel on August 29.

The show also brings some familiar faces to the table: NBA great Byron Scott and Basketball Wives alum CeCe Scott join a rotating lineup of “Wealth ICONS,” millionaire mentors who back founders live on camera.

But America’s Real Deal isn’t your typical pitch-and-panel format. Its big twist is a “watch, shop, invest” setup that turns viewers into active participants. Each episode features live QR codes that let audiences instantly invest in businesses, buy products, and cast votes — blending e-commerce with competition in real time.

During filming, the Wealth ICONS and a “Millionaires Row” group put up more than $250,000 per episode, but additional investments can flow directly from viewers at home through those on-screen scans. Social shares even count toward the rankings, and the format is designed to speed up a five-year growth plan into just two years for breakout companies. The creators call it “the most interactive, most entertaining business reality TV show.”

The series is the brainchild of Rasha and Adam Brandley, who also serve as executive producers, alongside reality TV heavyweights Holly Wofford (Survivor, American Ninja Warrior), Robin Feinberg (The Profit, American Greed), and Adam Sampson (Love Is Blind).

Unlike traditional investor shows, the panel isn’t there to spar or shut down ideas. Instead, the focus is on mentorship and bold, all-in or all-out commitments.

For entrepreneurs, it’s a chance at massive exposure, direct customer access, and real investor backing. For audiences, it’s a front-row seat to discover, shop, and support emerging brands while watching the drama unfold.

Casting is already open for future seasons, targeting businesses with at least $1 million in annual revenue through the show’s website.
