Offset isn’t holding back on Kiari, and his new track “Move On” makes it clear he’s shutting the door on his marriage to Cardi B.
On the record, Offset throws shade at his ex, rapping about her not meeting his expectations as a wife. One bar takes a jab at Cardi’s alleged lack of cooking:
“You never cooked n***as no food, you just want go out to Nobu.”
He also seemingly references her current relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs with the line:
“You fucked around with the wrong dude, hope your next n***a be great.”
The harshest blow comes when he erases their marriage altogether:
“Fuck the time that we had, it’s erased.”
The album dropped Friday (Aug. 22), and before its release, Offset admitted to the Associated Press that the song reflects his journey of letting go.
“It’s about moving on, like, peacefully,” he said. “That’s what the message is supposed to be. It’s all love and peace. … I just ended the album with that [song], just to end that chapter because it’s time to move on, it’s over and done with. It was great while it lasted. That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed.”
Offset and Cardi B tied the knot in 2017 but filed for divorce in both 2020 and 2024, with infidelity rumors hanging over their relationship. Offset later admitted to Ebro Darden on Apple Music, “I fucked up.”
Cardi, on her end, recently told fans she might have landed in jail for murder had she stayed with Offset, revealing she spent last September through February single, going out, reflecting, and “crying a lot.”
The former couple share three children: Kulture Kiari, 7, Wave Set, 3, and Blossom, 11 months.
