Emmys Producer Hints Beyoncé Could Make an Appearance at This Year’s Ceremony

Queen Bey just might bless the Emmys with her presence this weekend.

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards are stacked with heavy-hitting nominees, Beyoncé among them. True to form, she’s kept fans guessing—nobody, not even the Beyhive, can predict if she’ll actually show. But if she and Jay-Z decide to roll up, the Emmys team says they’re more than ready.

Speaking to Variety on Friday (Sept. 12), executive producer Jesse Collins admitted he doesn’t know if the couple will attend, but the show is prepped for a royal arrival.

“She can make anything happen,” Collins said. “It doesn’t matter where she is in the world right now, if she wants to be here, she’ll be here, and there will be a seat for her. Several. We’re ready for them and whatever they want to do… those are my bosses, so it’s up to them.”

Bey has already snagged a juried win for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming thanks to Beyoncé Bowl, her Netflix special adapted from her NFL Christmas Gameday halftime show—where she gave Houston a Cowboy Carter homecoming. The special is also up for Outstanding Variety Special (Live), competing against The Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show Starring Kendrick Lamar. Jay-Z executive produced Lamar’s halftime show, while Collins worked on both.

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards air live from LA’s Peacock Theater this Sunday, Sept. 14, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, with streaming on Paramount+.
