“Not my friend i did a song with him which is currently in the process of being taken down given today’s disturbing news,” Uchis replied to a commenter who referred to D4vd as her “friend” under an Instagram carousel she shared.

She also clapped back at another user who questioned her response.

“its ok bb people like her are why women always get blamed for the things men do lol, the internalized misogyny of this world I suppose,” Uchis wrote.

A music video for the track, featured on D4vd’s debut studio album Withered, dropped the same day the song was released.

At this time, authorities have not named D4vd as a suspect in the death of Celeste Rivas, who was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. TMZ reported that both Rivas and the singer shared matching “Shhh…” tattoos on their right index fingers. The outlet also noted that Rivas’ mother said her daughter, who had been reported missing in April 2024, was dating someone named David.

The 20-year-old artist, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, called off a planned Seattle performance just hours after the victim’s identity was made public.
