Hot Boys alum Turk is taking his fight to court after being dropped from the Cash Money Millionaires’ 30th Anniversary Tour — and he says promoters still owe him over $300,000.
According to documents obtained by Complex, Turk filed a lawsuit in Broward County, Florida, against Artists By Artists Agency LLC (ABA) and Dope Shows Inc., accusing them of breach of contract, unauthorized use of his name and likeness, and more.
Turk claims he signed on for the tour under a $400,000 deal but was abruptly cut from the lineup in July after refusing to accept a pay cut. He says he’s still owed $340,000.
The rapper later received a letter stating his removal was due to “security concerns” tied to his long-standing feud with fellow Hot Boys member B.G. — but Turk insists that was just an excuse, noting that B.G. stayed on the bill after allegedly agreeing to reduced pay. The lawsuit further accuses the promoters of exploiting his beef with B.G. to sell tickets.
While Juvenile previously said he was satisfied with his pay, Turk says his situation was the exact opposite, adding that ABA enabled Dope Shows’ alleged scheme to deny him his money.
He’s asking the court to order both companies to pay the $340,000 he says is outstanding, plus additional damages for using his name and likeness to promote the shows after he was removed.
Neither Dope Shows nor ABA has responded to the lawsuit.
