Private investigator Steve Fischer shed some light on what he could share about the ongoing murder case of Celeste Rivas, whose body was discovered inside a Tesla owned by D4vd.
Fischer appeared on Law&Crime Sidebar with Jesse Weber on Friday (October 17), following his hire by the singer’s former landlord, Mladen Trifunovic. The property owner reportedly enlisted Fischer after weeks of silence from the LAPD, who hadn’t provided updates since Rivas’ body was found in the vehicle at a Hollywood impound lot. Rivas had gone missing in April 2024, when she was just 13 years old.
Around the nine-minute mark of the interview, Fischer revealed that while no incriminating evidence had been found inside D4vd’s home, he had gathered “evidence that helps the timeline.”
“We now have a much clearer picture of when that Tesla arrived at its final parking spot,” he said, noting that he had obtained surveillance footage from nearby homes showing the car being moved.
He also mentioned that additional items not initially collected from the home had since been recovered and turned over to the LAPD. Fischer further shared that he knows who transported the Tesla to the impound lot, though he couldn’t go into detail about it.
“I’ll say this — I have no evidence of a body being moved before or after,” Fischer explained. “There’s nothing pointing to that at all. But when the car was relocated, it was already in that condition. It hadn’t been used for a long time — it was filthy, covered in thick layers of dirt.”
Fischer estimated that the Tesla was impounded in late July, shortly before D4vd “immediately” kicked off his Withered World Tour, which came to an abrupt end last month.
During the interview, Fischer admitted he doesn’t know exactly how Celeste Rivas died but said he believes “things changed” around January or February of this year. He went on to speculate that Rivas might have suffered a drug overdose and that a “bad decision” was made in an effort to avoid “exposing a potential relationship” between the 13-year-old and the 20-year-old musician.
“But I will say this — there are some things, and I’m talking physical evidence from that house — that suggest there may have been greater plans to get rid of her. And it’s scary, sadistic stuff,” Fischer stated.
D4vd has since ended his lease at the Hollywood Hills home, and no suspects have been identified in the ongoing investigation.
