Hoodrich Pablo Juan Freed From Prison

Hoodrich Pablo Juan is officially out of a Georgia state prison.

The rapper, whose real name is Sterling Leroy Pennix Jr., was released on Oct. 19 and was later seen in videos smiling and hugging friends and supporters after regaining his freedom.

In 2022, Hoodrich Pablo Juan was sentenced for violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. After reaching a plea deal, he received a 15-year sentence — five years to be served in prison and the remaining ten on strict probation — along with a $2,000 fine.

Juan was initially arrested in October 2020 as one of 46 alleged co-conspirators in a sweeping RICO case. The group faced a total of 92 RICO counts, 59 counts under Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, plus multiple charges that included heroin and meth trafficking, aggravated assault, kidnapping, and murder.

Prosecutors accused Juan of being affiliated with the Rollin’ 20s Neighborhood Bloods. Under his probation terms, he’s prohibited from associating with gang members or possessing firearms.

Even while incarcerated, Juan stayed vocal. In 2023, he shared a message of solidarity with Young Thug amid the rapper’s YSL RICO trial, saying, “We do this shit for the hood, we from the hood, we still in the hood. Y’all know what the fuck going on. Free Slime, man. Keep all the rats, free all the real n****s. Y’all know what the fuck going on man, we never letting up.”
