Britney Spears has reactivated her Instagram after briefly taking it down, following the release of her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s new memoir.
The pop superstar returned to the platform on Friday (Nov. 7), posting a message that read, “so much has happened this year, it’s crazy.”
Her comeback comes shortly after Federline, who shares two sons with Spears, published his debut memoir You Thought You Knew, in which he accused the singer of infidelity and drug use following the birth of their children. The former couple was married from 2004 to 2007.
Spears’ post included a photo — seemingly taken from a video — showing her dancing in lingerie, marking her first upload since the account’s temporary deactivation.

“I try to live within my means and the book, ‘Draw the Circle’ is an incredible perspective. Get your ballerina, circle, and own your boundaries,” Spears captioned the post. “It’s incredibly strict and somewhat of a form of prayer but with so many endless possibilities in life, it’s important to do you and keep it simple.”
She concluded, “I know there is a confusing side too. The devil is in the details but we can get to that later “
The singer briefly deactivated her Instagram after sharing a post in which she claimed to have “suffered brain damage” and compared herself to Maleficent, the main character from Disney’s 2014 film.
Britney also addressed Kevin Federline’s memoir, describing it as “hurtful” and accusing her ex-husband of “constant gaslighting.”
The Grammy winner expressed her desire to rebuild her bond with her sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 18, who spent most of their childhood in Federline’s custody. Spears has occasionally posted videos of herself with Jayden, though she’s reportedly still estranged from her older son.
