Drake has dominated the summer with the release of ICEMAN, alongside three other albums. Still, the Toronto superstar chose not to follow the usual route of heading straight out on tour, instead giving the music time to breathe while also teasing even more new material.
But fans in his hometown got a special treat when Don Toliver brought the excitement to Toronto.
During the Houston rapper’s Toronto stop on his Octane tour, Drake made a surprise appearance onstage and performed several tracks from ICEMAN. The crowd erupted as Drizzy delivered songs including the hit “Janice STFU” and the A$AP Rocky-dissing “Burning Bridges.”
At this point, it appears somewhat unlikely that Drake will head out on tour before the end of the year, though fans could possibly see him back on the road in 2027. The good news, however, is that a new album may arrive before the year wraps up.
Over the past few weeks, Drake has been teasing a project titled FOMO, and a recent post on social media appeared to confirm that it is set for release in 2026.
In a brief note addressed to someone named Matt, Drake wrote, “To Matt, Two truth tellers! Love and respect my g. 6’er. ICE. 2026 FOMO.”
Adding even more excitement to the speculation, Drake recently appeared at Toronto’s CNE, where he seemingly filmed a music video while dressed as Iron Man. He also teased a remix of Ella Langley’s “Choosin Texas,” leading some fans to believe the upcoming project could lean more toward a country-inspired sound.
We’ll keep you updated as more information emerges about Drake and his rumored new album, FOMO.
