Vivica A. Fox advised women to avoid dating 50 Cent or any other rappers.
While speaking at the Ultimate Women’s Expo in Edison, New Jersey, over the weekend, Fox was responding to a question from an audience member about pursuing their dreams.
“Don’t date 50 Cent, don’t date no damn rappers,” Fox told the audience as cheers and laughter erupted. She casually shrugged and added, “Facts! … Just so you know, it took me years to be able to laugh about it. I had to learn to laugh so I wouldn’t cry anymore—but I made it.”
Not long after her remarks went viral, 50 Cent reacted on Instagram, writing, “Either way I’m a have that ass in the matrix, you know I love me some you girl, but Damn it’s been 22 years Vivica. @50centaction.”
The Kill Bill star briefly dated 50 Cent after the 2003 BET Awards, and the pair even appeared together at that year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Their romance, however, was short-lived, ending after just three months—and the two have since had their fair share of public drama.
Fox later appeared in 50’s 2009 music video for “Do You Think About Me,” but their rocky history has continued to resurface in the media over the years.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent was back to his usual trolling ways early Monday, taking aim at Jim Jones on Instagram following Max B’s prison release. He posted a still from Belly showing Rico eating a banana with the caption “Jim Jones,” along with a clip of Max B on FaceTime with DJ Whoo Kid. “N**as said Max home it’s packed in Harbor, jimmy about to drop a dime on these n**as LOL,” 50 wrote.
