Ice Spice has dropped her brand-new single, “Thootie,” featuring Tokischa — and you can check it out above.
Produced by her longtime collaborator RIOTUSA, the track marks the first time the Bronx star delivers bars in Spanish. Mixing Ice Spice’s trademark drill vibe with dembow energy, the song has both artists jumping between English and Spanish verses.
“This was a fun record for me,” Ice Spice shared in a statement. “It’s the first time people are actually hearing me speak or rap in Spanish, and it was fun to show another side of who I am, and it’s even more special that I got to do it with Toki. We went to the Dominican Republic to shoot the video last month, and it was a vibe. I definitely felt at home.”
The music video, directed by Richard Cordones with creative direction from Tokischa, was filmed in the Dominican Republic last month.
“Thootie” arrives on the heels of Ice Spice’s November drop, “Big Guy,” an original track for Paramount Animation’s The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, which lands in theaters on December 19. The Grammy-nominated rapper will also make her voice-acting debut in the movie.
Just recently, Ice Spice popped up in a hilarious AI-generated post shared by Ice-T.
The rapper and actor posted an image on X showing an AI version of himself, Ice Cube, Ice Spice, and Vanilla Ice skating together on an ice rink.
“Ok… Ai got us…. The ICE’s,” he joked, playing on the icy theme tying all their names together.
Fans wasted no time reacting. Some pointed out that the AI image of Ice Spice looked nothing like her, while others unfortunately turned the group into Immigration and Customs Enforcement-themed edits.
