Young Buck didn’t waste time poking fun at Fat Joe’s recent claim that his crew once beat him up years ago — though the joke came with an unfortunate use of generative AI.
If you missed it, Joe shared the story on a recent episode of the Joe and Jada podcast, which—like The Breakfast Club and other iHeartMedia shows—will soon have its video versions released on Netflix.
“I never told nobody this story before,” Joe said on the episode released Thursday (Dec. 19), before alleging that he “caught Young Buck” after a festival performance in Chicago years back. He later clarified the moment happened “at the height of the beef.”
According to Joe, who said he had “the ugly ones” with him at the time, Buck “tried to front” on him as Joe was leaving the stage. He claimed he responded by throwing a water bottle at Buck and daring him to come down a staircase at the venue, which he says prompted police to form “a barricade.”
Joe went on to suggest that Buck was eventually beaten up by his crew, again referring to them as “the ugly ones.” He did not specify exactly when the alleged incident took place.
In one of his initial responses, Buck posted an AI-generated video on Instagram, choosing a third-person tone that mimicked a breaking news report in the caption.
“BREAKING NEWS JUST DROPPED,” he wrote, as shown below. “20 YEARS later and [Young Buck] finally out the ER from that [Fat Joe] 2-piece. STAY TUNED…As This Story Develops. This man a survivor.”
In a follow-up post, Buck kept the breaking news-style joke going, poking fun at Joe’s story by writing, “Young Buck finally released from Nashville ER — 20 YEARS after a Fat Joe whooping!” He added that he was “expected to make a full recovery in 4–6 more decades.”
Buck kept the jokes rolling on Friday (Dec. 19), this time playfully offering Joe “a biscuit” to go along with his “two-piece.”
So far, Joe hasn’t publicly responded to Buck’s jokes. Knowing the history, it likely won’t be long before 50 Cent finds his way into the mix.
