Sexyy Red is confident she’s next in line when it comes to Drake’s legacy.
On Feb. 13, the rapper chimed in after someone floated a hypothetical online.
“J. Cole will pass his torch to JID, Kendrick will pass his torch to Baby Keem…who will Drake pass his torch to?” a user wrote on X.
Red didn’t hesitate to stake her claim. She reposted a photo of herself beaming with a wide smile and captioned it, “It’s me yal!”
With that bold response, Sexyy Red made it clear she sees herself as the one to carry the baton if Drake ever decides to hand it over.
Sexyy Red and Drake have built a tight bond over the years. Last July, she shared photos of the two of them together at London’s Wireless Festival, using the moment to show love to her “U My Everything” collaborator.
“They could never convince me to hate you,” she captioned the post.
The pair have also teamed up on “Rich Baby Daddy” alongside SZA, and Red joined Drake as a supporting act on select dates of his It’s All a Blur Tour in 2023.
In 2024, she even playfully called Drake her “BD” — short for “baby daddy” — while wishing him a happy birthday.
