Kanye West Confirms Official Release Date for ‘Bully’ Album

Kanye West’s 12th studio album, Bully, may have finally locked in an official release date.

After news surfaced that the 24-time Grammy Award-winning rapper and producer is set to perform at Los Angeles’ Sofi Stadium on April 3, it now appears the release of his upcoming project has been delayed by a week from its previously expected March 20 drop.

Billboards spotted across the country, believed to be promoting Bully, now display March 27 as the new date. Check out some of the billboards below:

Rolling Stone previously reported that Bully was set to arrive on March 20, which would also mark Ye’s first release under the independent music and distribution company Gamma. North West, Ye’s eldest daughter with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, has also signed with Gamma as she gears up for her debut album, The Elementary School Dropout.

The announcement of that initial release date came during the same month Ye published a full-page statement in The Wall Street Journal, where he apologized for years of antisemitic and other offensive remarks. The rapper and fashion designer also referenced his 2002 car accident, which resulted in a brain injury, as well as his bipolar disorder, as factors behind some of his past controversial behavior.

“One of the difficult aspects of having bipolar type-1 are the disconnected moments — many of which I still cannot recall — that lead to poor judgment and reckless behavior that oftentimes feels like an out-of-body experience,” he wrote. “I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change. It does not excuse what I did, though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.”

Bully has reportedly been in development for several years. In 2025, Ye even leaked different versions of the project, including a black-and-white short film directed by Hype Williams.

Ye’s most recent release came in August 2024 with Vultures 2, a collaborative album from the supergroup ¥$ featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
