Diddy Reportedly Sent to Solitary Confinement Following Prison Fight

Diddy Reportedly Moved to Solitary Confinement After Prison Altercation

Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted on two prostitution-related charges, was reportedly placed in solitary confinement this week following a fight with another inmate.

According to TMZ, multiple sources claimed that Diddy was involved in an altercation with another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey. The incident allegedly began after the inmate made disrespectful comments toward the former Bad Boy Records founder, leading to an argument that eventually turned physical.

Sources said the two inmates exchanged punches before prison staff stepped in and broke up the fight. They also claimed that Diddy “held his own” during the confrontation.

Following the incident, Diddy was reportedly placed in solitary confinement.

When Complex reached out for comment on Friday (July 24), a Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson said:

“The Federal Bureau of Prisons does not comment on the conditions of confinement, disciplinary matters, or other information regarding individual inmates due to privacy, safety, and security concerns.”

In 2025, Diddy was convicted on two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution and received a 50-month federal prison sentence, followed by five years of supervised release. Since he had already spent 12 months in custody before sentencing, he is currently expected to be released in February 2028. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges during his trial.

Earlier this month, footage surfaced showing the 56-year-old walking around inside FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison. More recently, he sold his waterfront Star Island mansion in Miami for $55 million through an off-market deal. The sale reportedly earned him a $20 million profit compared to the $35 million he paid for the property in 2021 when he bought it from Gloria Estefan and her husband, Emilio Estefan.
