Justin Bieber Reportedly in Discussions to Headline the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show

Justin Bieber is reportedly in negotiations to perform at the halftime show during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final later this month.

According to TMZ, Bieber is being considered for the star-studded lineup, which already features Madonna, Shakira, and BTS. The event is scheduled to take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, which will temporarily be renamed New York New Jersey Stadium for the tournament.

Last month, Bieber and his wife, Hailey, were spotted attending the FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony in Inglewood, California. On the same day, the singer also surprised VIP guests with an intimate performance.

In recent months, Justin Bieber has made a handful of unique stage appearances, including a Grammys performance where he wore only boxers and socks while playing an electric guitar, as well as providing live background vocals for YouTube videos of his own songs during his Coachella set.

Those occasional performances have fueled speculation that Bieber could be preparing for a full-scale tour. However, TMZ recently shut down those rumors, reporting that sources close to the singer say he prefers performing “in doses” rather than embarking on lengthy tours. A halftime performance at the FIFA World Cup Final would fit perfectly with that approach.

After releasing Swag Live From Coachella (Weekend I) on Friday (June 26), Bieber is now expected to drop a live recording from the festival’s second weekend this Friday (July 3).
