According to Gloss Up, she was driving on the expressway around 3 a.m. when she saw a black car spin out before crashing into another vehicle that was stopped on the road. She insisted she was not speeding, but the collision was so severe that it nearly tore off her foot.
During the ambulance ride, panic quickly set in as she tried to grasp the extent of her injuries. Gloss said she repeatedly asked paramedics whether her leg was gone and closely watched their expressions while waiting to find out if doctors would be able to save her foot.
Gloss Up Clarifies Why She Initially Said Her Foot Had Been Amputated
The seriousness of Gloss Up’s injuries initially caused confusion among fans online. While recovering in the hospital, the rapper told followers that her foot had been amputated. However, her management later explained that she was heavily medicated at the time and mistakenly believed the surgery had already taken place. In reality, doctors were still working to save her foot.
Her team later confirmed that the procedure was successful and shared graphic images highlighting the extent of her injuries, noting that amputation had been a very real possibility.
Although she faces a long recovery ahead, Gloss Up is already looking forward. She said her priority is healing and being there for her family after surviving an accident that could have had a far more tragic outcome. The rapper also revealed that she still plans to go ahead with her upcoming birthday photoshoot, joking that she may end up doing it from her hospital room.
