Kai Cenat’s Streamer University is officially back for its second year, but while fans expected the return, no one saw the first-day surprise coming. The 2026 class had no idea Kai planned to kick things off by giving every student a free phone.
As the first day of Streamer University 2026 got underway, Kai stunned all of this year’s students—more than 100 in total—by gifting each of them a brand-new smartphone. On top of that, every student also received a full year of Ch@mobile wireless service.
For those unfamiliar, Ch@mobile is promoted as a “creator-first mobile platform,” offering a community-driven alternative to traditional wireless plans. Earlier this year, co-founder Bernt Ullmann explained that the company’s vision is to create “a platform where creators and communities have ownership, access, and a direct line to each other.”
The platform already features creators such as Young Thug, Peso Pluma, and others. With this newly announced collaboration, Ch@mobile has officially become the wireless carrier for Streamer University.
“StreamerU represents the energy, creativity, and community that define today’s culture,” Ullmann said in a statement shared with Complex following Wednesday’s surprise announcement. “At Ch@mobile, we’re building much more than a phone plan. We like to think of Ch@mobile as the black card of wireless. We’re creating a membership centered on community, culture, and belonging.”
Ullmann added: “Wireless service is the foundation, but what makes Ch@mobile different is the access. Members become part of a community with exclusive monthly drops, VIP experiences, premium giveaways, and meaningful connections that bring them closer to the music, creators, and cultural moments they love. We are proud to welcome the StreamerU community into that membership.”
Young Thug, who serves as Ch@mobile’s “resident creator,” said the partnership with Streamer University aligns closely with the vision behind his SP5DER collaboration with the platform.
“What Kai is building with StreamerU is inspiring because it’s creating opportunities for the next generation and bringing people together,” Thug said in a statement. “We’re building something similar with SP5DER and Ch@mobile by creating a community around culture, creativity, and access. Whether it’s exclusive SP5DER drops, once-in-a-lifetime experiences or what’s coming next, Ch@mobile members get access you can’t find anywhere else. I can’t wait to see where the StreamerU community goes from here and what’s ahead for all of us together.”
Streamer University 2026 arrives after the success of last year’s inaugural edition of the multi-day content creator program, which concluded with a special video message from Drake, who has increasingly embraced the streaming community in recent years.
“It’s an extraordinary feat, and I want you all to show the most love that you possibly can for your dean, the one and only, Kai Cenat,” the Iceman artist said at the time.
With that setting the bar, fans can likely expect more major surprises as Streamer University 2026 unfolds over the coming days. Drake has already made another appearance, and after kicking off on Wednesday (July 15), the event is scheduled to conclude on Monday (July 20).
