We’re approaching the end of Lil Durk’s murder-for-hire trial, but the final outcome remains uncertain. Both the prosecution and defense rested their cases last week following a series of intense testimonies. Still, the defense put up a strong fight, delivering forceful cross-examinations that have left Durk’s loyal fans and supporters feeling confident he could beat the case.
Before closing arguments, Durk’s father, Big Durk, sat down with N3on to discuss the trial. When asked which aspect of the case he felt was not receiving enough attention, Big Durk pointed to what he believes are major weaknesses in the prosecution’s argument.
“The fact that these people, these witnesses and this evidence is so weak, you know?” he said. “People aren’t focusing on that. Why is the government doing that?”
Durk said he hopes the jury will recognize those weaknesses once they begin deliberations. “I’m praying that the jury sees through that weak evidence and these witnesses up here,” he said. He also argued that the witnesses’ accounts do not match up. “Ain’t nobody story consistent,” he added.
Closing statements in Lil Durk’s trial are expected to begin today, September 8th, 2026. Several of Durk’s close associates, including OTF Vonnie and OTF Jam, took the stand during the proceedings, with both testimonies sparking arguments over the timeline. Jam, in particular, shared an alleged statement online accusing Durk of screwing everyone over.
We will continue to keep you posted on any further updates surrounding Lil Durk’s case.
