Lori Harvey Is Leveraging Her Entrepreneurial Platform to Create Opportunities for Other Women

Lori Harvey has spent years becoming someone brands want in the room. These days, she’s increasingly using her influence to help decide who else gets an opportunity to enter it.

Harvey showcased that mindset during a busy weekend in Los Angeles, speaking at the Create & Cultivate festival before hosting a private gathering for women entrepreneurs on Sunday, Sept. 20. The event was part of her work as chief creative advisor for Kevin Hart’s Gran Coramino Tequila, but Harvey used the opportunity to shine a light on something much bigger than tequila: women building businesses of their own.

“Supporting women, especially women business owners, is something I really value,” and I love being able to bring that into this role.”

The sentiment went beyond a prepared statement. A clip from Harvey’s appearance at Create & Cultivate began gaining traction online after the event, with her remarks getting such a strong response that someone in the audience could be heard yelling, “Somebody record this please!”

It’s another dimension of Harvey that can sometimes get overshadowed by the celebrity coverage surrounding her.

The 29-year-old has established herself as a fashion fixture, regularly making headlines through campaigns, Fashion Week appearances and even her vacation style. Earlier this year, photos of Harvey celebrating her birthday in a series of bikinis and resort looks made the rounds on social media.

Months later, she starred in Oner Active’s first ONER MODE fashion campaign.

Her personal life has attracted even more attention. Her relationships with Michael B. Jordan and Damson Idris unfolded under intense public scrutiny, at times making Harvey’s dating life a bigger headline than her own work.

Still, her business résumé has continued to expand alongside those headlines.

Harvey previously launched skincare brand SKN by LH and swimwear line YEVRAH Swim, while also partnering with companies such as Good American and PrettyLittleThing. In June, her work with brands evolved beyond modeling when Gran Coramino appointed her chief creative advisor, giving her a role in developing its female-focused Coramino Woman platform.

That expanded influence was on full display in Los Angeles. Instead of simply attaching her name and image to Sunday’s gathering, Harvey brought in longtime collaborator Akansha Mirchandani and her company, FLUFF Studios, to produce the event.

“AK understands my vision and knows how to turn it into something that feels elevated, thoughtful, and authentic to me,” Harvey said.
