Tyga is facing a lawsuit over allegations that he failed to show up for a scheduled performance in Beijing. The management company behind the lawsuit is seeking $135,000 in damages.
According to TMZ, the rapper, whose real name is Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, has been sued for fraud and breach of contract by Beijing Tongxing Wanxin Catering Management. The company alleges that Tyga failed to appear at Club Pac Star on two occasions despite receiving payment for the appearances.
The lawsuit states that the performances were scheduled for Aug. 4 and Oct. 27, 2023. The company claims it was told that Tyga would reschedule one of the shows in 2024, but the promised performance never took place.
The management company further alleges that it received a $10,000 refund as part of a settlement but never recovered the remaining balance of the $145,000 it claims it is owed. It is now seeking $135,000, along with punitive damages.
Tyga has faced several major lawsuits over the years. In 2023, he was sued by Choice Motors Credit for $1.3 million over allegedly missed payments on a Lamborghini and a Bentley.
That case followed another lawsuit filed by Midway Rent a Car in 2019, which sought $441,000 over missed payments on two additional luxury vehicles.
The rapper also faced a lawsuit related to a performance in 2018, when concert promoter Heavy Rotation accused him of failing to appear for three shows in the United Arab Emirates despite receiving $141,000 in payment.
Tyga disputed the allegations, and the two parties eventually reached a settlement. The case was dismissed the following year.
