Meagan Good Says Jonathan Majors ‘Breathed Life’ Back Into Her Following Divorce

Meagan Good says her second husband, actor Jonathan Majors, gave her the room she needed to heal after her 2022 divorce from entertainment producer DeVon Franklin.

The former Harlem actress opened up about her marriage to Majors during Wednesday’s (Oct. 28) episode of Angie Martinez IRL. Around the 16-minute mark of the video below, Good explained that she had already weathered several “storms” before meeting her now-husband. Good and Franklin were married from 2012 to 2022 and co-authored the self-help book The Wait, which was released in 2015.

In 2023, Majors, known for his roles in Creed III, Ant-Man: Quantumania and Lovecraft Country, was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment. He was sentenced to a 52-week counseling program. Throughout the trial, Good stood by the actor, whom she married in 2025.

“I had already been through a lot of just different public things and people picking at me and people deciding who I was or deciding that I was the bad guy or whatever it was,” Good told Martinez. “And so when I got to this place, I just was so in my skin, even though I was still healing, I was just like, I just know what I know that I know.”

Good said Majors was “blindsiding” to the experience of being on trial, but described their relationship as a “blessing,” with both of them offering each other support through difficult times.

“He’s been an angel to me in a totally different way where what I was dealing with privately that people aren’t really aware of,” she explained. “He brought me through and breathed life back into me. He’s such a godsend. We were really want each other needed.”

The actress also described their first year of marriage as “amazing,” explaining that they could rely on each other while facing public scrutiny, which she said represented different stages of their relationship.

Majors has also spoken highly of his wife in interviews. During a February episode of BET’s For The Fellas, the actor revealed that Good helped him “rebuild.” In an interview with The Breakfast Club the previous year, Majors also disclosed that Good lost endorsement deals because of their relationship.
