Tracee Ellis Ross stepped away from Solo Traveling for a getaway with some of her closest friends, including actor and producer Issa Rae.
On Friday (November 6), Ross shared an Instagram carousel capturing her group vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico, as she celebrated her recent Daytime Emmy win in the Outstanding Travel and Adventure Program category alongside her 54th birthday. Among those featured in the photos was Rae, who starred alongside Ross in the 2023 comedy-drama American Fiction.
The group made the most of their vacation with relaxing pool and spa sessions, followed by extravagant dinners in the evenings. They also enjoyed a private yacht excursion on the water.
“Thank you @zadunreserve for a delicious birthday gift!,” Ross wrote in the caption, expressing her gratitude to the resort. “Soaking up the sun The Cabo Crew. Shenanigans.”
Ross celebrated her 54th birthday on October 29. Just a day later, on October 30, she took home a Daytime Emmy for Solo Traveling with Tracee Ellis Ross, which has already been renewed for a second season on Roku.

Almost a decade ago, Ross earned a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, thanks to her portrayal of Dr. Rainbow Johnson in ABC’s hit sitcom Black-ish, which enjoyed an eight-season run.
