Mandy Moore isn’t having it with online trolls who slammed her for sharing her in-laws’ GoFundMe after the Eaton wildfire took their LA home.
The 40-year-old star turned to Instagram Thursday, January 9, revealing how her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Griff and Kit Goldsmith, lost everything – with Kit expecting their first baby in just weeks. “They need our support now more than ever,” she posted, explaining how Griff, a touring musician, also lost all his drums and gear he uses to make a living.
After getting heat in the comments, Moore locked them down and edited her post with a fierce comeback. “People questioning if we’re helping our own family or bringing up Google’s random net worth numbers need to stop. Obviously we’re helping. Our friend Matt started this fundraiser and I’m sharing because people asked how to help. We just lost most of our stuff in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. Nobody’s forcing you to do anything.”
Critics hit up Moore’s page slamming her for asking for donations, as PageSix reported.
“Not millionaires asking for donations for THEIR families,” one person wrote. Another fired shots with “You got boatloads of money. Wow. Did you help out anyone in Maui/NC/West Virginia,” while someone else added “You’re a multi millionaire lmao figure it out.”
The LA wildfires have been brutal this week, forcing tons of people from their homes, including Moore’s ‘This Is Us’ castmate Milo Ventimiglia, who lost his Malibu pad to the flames.
