Diddy’s Prison Release Date Delayed After Fight Leads to Solitary Confinement Sentence

Diddy has experienced several highs and lows during his time behind bars. While at FCI Fort Dix, the music executive has participated in various programs that reportedly helped improve his standing within the facility.

As a result, his prison release date had been moved forward multiple times. He was initially expected to be released in April 2028, but by last week, that date had reportedly been pushed up to late January. Based on those calculations, Diddy appeared to have around 18 months remaining on his sentence.

However, according to TMZ, a recent prison altercation has now impacted his release timeline. The incident, which resulted in Diddy being placed in solitary confinement, appears to have led to his release date being pushed back for the first time.

He is now reportedly scheduled to be released on February 20, 2028.

This new date is still roughly two months earlier than the release timeline Diddy was originally given. However, after reportedly being told he could be released in January, the change is likely a major setback for the hip-hop veteran.

Prison altercations rarely work in an inmate’s favor. Even if the incident was a one-time situation, correctional systems are often strict when handling such matters. Because of that, Diddy’s updated release timeline is not entirely unexpected.

Still, there remains a possibility that his release date could be adjusted again. If he maintains good behavior and gets back on track, he may be able to move the date closer to January — or potentially even toward late 2027.
