IShowSpeed’s attempt to challenge Olympic champ Sha’Carri Richardson to a race didn’t go as planned.
During his Saturday livestream (catch it at 2 hours and 11 minutes), Speed bumped into the track superstar after a flag football game and tried his luck at getting a race going.
But the streamer’s enthusiasm got shot down quick when Richardson dropped her response.
“I don’t race for free,” she told him straight up, leaving Speed hanging.
“Everybody just be ducking,” he complained to his viewers.
Richardson wasn’t having it, but she did give him a path to a free race. “Tell him to come work out first,” she suggested. “Do an Olympian track workout and then we can do a race.”
Speed wasn’t backing down, taking her up on the challenge.
“Race coming soon,” he declared. “I’m going to come to Texas.”
Looking at Speed’s track record, he’s no stranger to these showdowns. He once challenged Olympic medalist Noah Lyles to a $100,000 race.
Even though Lyles won that one, Speed insisted it was a tie.
But before he jumps into any more races, Speed might want to let his WWE Royal Rumble battle wounds heal up. Last week, he jumped into the action after seeing wrestler Carmelo Hayes attack Akira Tozawa at the ring entrance.
Speed managed to help chuck 330-pound Otis out of the ring and bust out Cristiano Ronaldo’s “sui” celebration. His glory was short-lived though – Bron Breakker speared him and sent him crashing to the ground.
After getting back on his feet, Speed showed Logan Paul a nasty cut from the scuffle. Though he walked away with a slight limp, looks like he’s bounced back already.
