Kendrick Lamar lit up the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX halftime show with an unforgettable spectacle.
The Compton king rocked Caesar’s Superdome in New Orleans this Sunday, unleashing bangers from his whole career. Samuel L. Jackson kicked things off with a narration before K-Dot jumped into that unreleased GNX teaser that fans have been dying to hear. He kept the energy sky-high, blazing through “Squabble Up,” “Element,” “DNA,” “Man at the Garden,” “Euphoria,” and brought out SZA for a killer performance of “All the Stars,” plus more heat.
The highlight everyone was hyped for finally happened when K-Dot dropped “Not Like Us” in front of millions, even keeping that spicy “a minor” bar in. Sharp viewers caught K-Dot throwing extra shade at Drake, making sure to lock eyes with the camera whenever he mentioned the 6 God during the diss track.
This Super Bowl show is just another W for Kendrick, who’s been crushing it since last March when he shook the rap game with his verse on Metro Boomin and Future’s “Like That.” That bar-fest sparked the wild beef with Drake, leading to an insane exchange of disses before Kendrick dropped the bomb that was “Not Like Us.”
The track swept every category it was up for, snagging both Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
