BigXThaPlug Pleads Guilty to Gun Charge After Recent Firearm Arrest

Following his recent arrest on charges including driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession, and unlawful firearm possession, BigXThaPlug has now pleaded guilty to firearm charges connected to a separate arrest.

According to CBS News, the 28-year-old Texas rapper pleaded guilty to a weapons charge stemming from August 2025 and was sentenced to six months of deferred adjudication on Saturday, Aug. 29. As part of the plea agreement, he also agreed to voluntarily surrender the firearm, described as a Glock-style handgun.

BigXThaPlug was arrested in Dallas during a traffic stop last year on the same night he released his album, I Hope You’re Happy. According to the criminal database, the rapper was linked to an Arlington gang and was allegedly prohibited from legally possessing a firearm. He was subsequently charged with marijuana and firearm possession.

Last year, he was also pulled over for driving a vehicle with an expired registration.

Earlier this month, the rapper was arrested for the third time in approximately 18 months. He was taken into custody on Aug. 21 and charged with driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession, and unlawful firearm possession.
