The drama started when a Lyft driver turned her away, claiming her weight would be too much for his car. Now Demoss is letting the video do the talking – hopping into an SUV without breaking a sweat, checking out a pickup, and sliding into a Range Rover’s driver’s seat like it’s nothing.

The viral SUV clip adds fresh fuel to the fire in Demoss’s discrimination battle. Her story blew up after she exposed how a driver straight-up locked his doors when he spotted her and refused the ride.
When Demoss dropped the recording on social media, it split the internet in two – some folks had her back while others were team driver, talking about safety issues.
“I am taking action against Lyft not just for myself, but for my community,” Demoss said about her lawsuit against Lyft. “I want to change the world and make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. If I stand for something, I’ll fall for anything.”
Lyft jumped in with their take, saying discrimination isn’t their thing.
“Lyft is committed to fostering a community built on respect and inclusivity,” a spokesperson said. “We are actively reviewing this matter to ensure that all passengers receive fair treatment.”
