Stars Show Love After ASAP Rocky Beats Gun Case: 50 Cent, Spike Lee Among First to Celebrate

Spike Lee is leading the wave of stars celebrating ASAP Rocky’s courtroom win.

The jury cleared Rocky Tuesday of two felony gun assault charges. The case started with his 2022 arrest over a fight-turned-shooting from the year before.

ASAP Relli, who claimed he was the victim, took the stand during the trial, getting into some heated moments with Rocky’s lawyer Joe Tacopina.

Right after his emotional reaction to beating the case, Rocky hit Twitter with “DON’T BE DUMB” – which fans know might be his new album title. Rocky’s been keeping fans waiting nearly seven years for a full album since Testing, his third studio project that landed at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 when it dropped in May 2018.

The win hits different since Rocky turned down a plea deal that would’ve had him doing months in jail, and now celebs and fans are flooding social media with love.

Los Angeles County DA Nathan J. Hochman dropped a statement saying this wasn’t “the outcome we sought” but showed respect for “the jury’s decision and the integrity of our justice system.”

Here’s how some big names reacted:

Rihanna
“The glory belongs to God and God alone!” RiRi shared on her Instagram Story right after the verdict. “Thankful, humbled by His mercy!”

She’d been holding Rocky down in court through the whole trial, with fans going wild every time she showed up.

Spike Lee
The legendary director, who’s got Rocky starring alongside Denzel Washington in his new film, showed love Wednesday by thanking the judge and jury.

“ASAP and Denzel Washington are fire in Highest 2 Lowest,” the Do the Right Thing master posted on Instagram.

50 Cent
After saying he’d put up to half a mil on Rocky beating the case, Fif hit Instagram to celebrate the win, telling Rocky to “stay sucker-free.”

Nicki Minaj
“To God be the glory,” Nicki wrote, sharing a pic of Rocky, Rihanna, and their two kids with her song “Blessings” from Pink Friday 2 playing over it.

Ye
The artist formerly known as Kanye West, who earlier this month said “I love Hitler” and “I’m a Nazi” on X, posted a praying hands emoji and shared a black-and-white photo of Rocky in court when the verdict news dropped.
