New tunes from Tory Lanez might be delayed thanks to a prison riot.
TMZ says the locked-up artist was laying down verses on his phone for an upcoming album when chaos erupted in the prison, putting him right in the danger zone.
Video footage shows Lanez spitting bars, “$500 on the Zelle will make ’em do gymnastics / Seen that n***a run up to the yard and he got backflipped / Cried in the cell so many nights, I got trapped in,” just before the mayhem kicked off behind him.
Lanez ran off when pepper spray entered the picture — leaving his verse unfinished. But judging by what he was rapping about, he’ll probably drop some lines about this crazy incident when he gets back to recording.
Lanez might soon have visitors sent by Megan Thee Stallion. TMZ reported that her legal team recently filed papers asking a judge to let her lawyers take his deposition.
This relates to Megan’s defamation and cyberstalking case against blogger Milagro Cooper, who she claims is running a campaign to spread lies about her.
The documents suggest Lanez is willing to speak with her under oath since he isn’t fighting the motion to depose him. Her attorneys previously claimed that Lanez is funding Cooper’s campaign.
In January, a judge approved Megan’s restraining order against Lanez because she alleged he was engaging in “psychological warfare” to harass her while behind bars.
