Zoë Kravitz Opens Up About Creating ‘Blink Twice’ With Former Flame Channing Tatum: ‘I Care for Him Very Much’

No way is Zoë Kravitz acting like a bitter ex – the actress-director has nothing but love for her former fiancé Channing Tatum.

Six months after Tatum played villain Slater King in Kravitz’s first film as director, Blink Twice, she briefly talked about their collaboration in a new chat with Elle. When asked if the split made her feel negative about Tatum being in the mystery thriller, Kravitz said it was actually the complete opposite.

“Not at all. I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much,” she shared. “Even when you bring up how great his performance is, it warms my heart to hear that, and I’m so happy that all of it happened.”

Kravitz added, “I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together.”

The Big Little Lies star also praised her ex for having “a lot to offer” in the entertainment world and mentioned she’s “excited for people to keep witnessing that.”

“He has so much more coming, and I think he’s in a place as an actor where he’s feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him,” Kravitz shared.

Kravitz and Tatum reportedly started dating in August 2021, two years after he finalized his divorce from Jenna Dewan, with whom he has an 11-year-old daughter. Kravitz and Tatum got engaged in 2023 but split last October.

In 2019, Kravitz tied the knot with actor Karl Glusman before filing to end the marriage the next year. After dating for four years and being married for 18 months, their divorce was officially completed in August 2021.
