Lil Durk Faces New Wrongful Death Lawsuit Tied to Murder-for-Hire Allegations

Lil Durk has been hit with a wrongful death lawsuit connected to the murder-for-hire plot he’s allegedly involved in.

According to a Monday press release, Postman Law and Rosen Law filed the wrongful death suit on behalf of victim Saviay’a Robinson’s family. The lawsuit claims the rapper masterminded Robinson’s killing in Los Angeles and names Durk, his business manager, and his Only the Family record label as defendants. The release describes Robinson as a “hardworking entrepreneur” and family man whose life was “abruptly” ended in a “violent shooting.”

“The premature loss of Mr. Robinson has devastated his family and community,” attorney Warren Postman said in a statement. “We filed this lawsuit to hold those responsible accountable and to ensure his family receives the support they need during this difficult time.”

The suit states that authorities are connecting Robinson’s death to a federal indictment involving Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks. According to the lawsuit, Robinson’s vehicle was ambushed near West Hollywood in August 2022. Robinson, who was driving with his cousin Quando Rondo, was allegedly targeted near the Beverly Center, where attackers fired multiple shots into the passenger side. After suffering critical injuries, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

This marks the second wrongful death lawsuit against Durk in less than a year. In October, FBG Duck’s mother reportedly sued the rapper and King Von’s estate over her son’s murder.

Other defendants in that case include both rappers’ record labels, Dolce & Gabbana, the city of Chicago, two private security companies, and the six people convicted for the shooting.

Last December, Lil Durk was linked to another murder case. Legal documents show authorities claimed the rapper orchestrated the fatal shooting of alleged Gangster Disciples leader Stephon Mack in 2022.

According to legal docs, the motive behind the killing was that one of its members allegedly murdered Durk’s brother, Dontay Banks, the year before.

“Lil Durk was and still is offering money for people to kill those responsible for his brother’s murder, and more specifically, offering to pay money for any Gangster Disciple that is killed,” a federal agent wrote.

Durk hasn’t been charged yet, with Chicago police stating that the investigation into Mack’s murder remains “open and active.”
