Drake hinted at his ongoing Kendrick Lamar beef and teased his future career plans in Monday’s Instagram caption.
The Toronto rapper, who’s been feuding with Kendrick throughout much of 2024, admitted he “grew up non-confrontational” and “treated this game as a sport.” He also suggested something potentially unsettling ahead, warning that his “next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy.”
“U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore,” he wrote. “I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you’ve been sending me.”
This follows months of diss tracks and public clashes between the two rap stars in 2024.
Since Kendrick dropped his Grammy-winning “Not Like Us” last July, the track topped charts, and last month, he performed the Drake diss during the Super Bowl halftime show.
The beef’s impact reached beyond music, even making it to the Oscars where host Conan O’Brien referenced it during the ceremony.
