It’s the end of a chapter for Future’s followers. The rapper unveiled a bold new style transformation at the Met Gala on Monday, May 5.
Stepping onto the red carpet in a sharp tweed-inspired outfit, Pluto struck poses for photographers minus the iconic locs he’s worn throughout most of his time in the spotlight. Instead, he was sporting a cropped cut that showcased his natural hair texture. True to his distinctive style, he added some flair with bleached accents.
The 2025 Met Gala’s theme is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. In a conversation with CBS News, Complex editor Aria Hughes forecasted, “We’re going to see lots of suits, I think in all shapes, sizes, colors. I think designers are going to play in different ways, and then hopefully lay in some storytelling.”
The event boasts an impressive roster of co-chairs, bringing together Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour. LeBron James was tapped as an honorary co-chair but had to drop out because of an injury.
