Congratulations are in order for Kim Kardashian.
On May 21, the 44-year-old revealed she has completed her law program following years of rigorous legal education.
“I finally graduated law school after six years!!!” she posted on her Instagram Story.
To mark the occasion, Kardashian organized a small graduation ceremony with family and friends including her children Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm West, 6. Her sisters Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian and longtime friend and legal activist Van Jones were also present.

“All of you guys have been on this journey with me,” Kim Kardashian said in a speech captured on Khloé Kardashian’s Instagram Story. “It did start with Van and I. Well, it started with the Twitter video that I saw that popped up.”
Kim Kardashian also shared that she was left “dumbfounded” by the condition of the legal system, which sparked her interest in criminal justice reform and prompted her to start a legal apprenticeship with a San Francisco law firm in 2018.
From that point, Kardashian attempted the “baby bar” exam three times before successfully passing it in 2021 and recently took the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam in March, a significant milestone toward becoming a licensed attorney.
Kardashian’s legal mentor Jessica Jackson, who also addressed her graduation, emphasized the commitment required to reach this achievement by disclosing that Kardashian studied “18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year for six straight years.”
“That’s time she carved out raising four children, running businesses, filming television shows, and showing up in courtrooms to advocate for others,” Jackson said, according to NBC News.
During his remarks at the intimate commencement, an emotional Jones observed that Kardashian pursued her studies during a period “when it wasn’t trendy, when it wasn’t cool.”

Kardashian posted a photo on her Instagram Story of her late father Robert Kardashian, the renowned lawyer most famous for defending O.J. Simpson during his 1995 murder trial.
However, Kim Kardashian’s path isn’t complete yet. She still must pass the California Bar Exam, which takes place every February and July, to become a fully licensed attorney.
