Kanye West Reveals to Fans He’s Been Dreaming About ‘Apologizing to Jay-Z’

The artist formerly known as Kanye West says he’s been having dreams about “apologizing to Jay-Z.”

In an X post on Saturday, Ye, who receives an unflattering reference on Clipse’s Pharrell-produced new track, once again mentioned HOV, an undeniably important figure in his early career. Earlier this year, Ye made baseless accusations about Jay and Beyoncé’s seven-year-old twins.

“All my dreams have been about apologizing to Jay-Z,” Ye wrote in the now-deleted tweet.

While Ye didn’t elaborate on what this supposedly dreamed-about apology would focus on, many quickly linked it to the widely criticized comments he made about Jay and Bey’s youngest children. As previously covered, the latter’s mother, Tina Knowles, seemed to address Ye by asking her Instagram followers, “What happens when a snowman throws a tantrum?”

The Matriarch author then provided fans with an answer (“He has a meltdown”) before condemning unspecified “ignorance and evil.”

Ye had actually posted an apology to Jay on X previously. In April, he wrote, “I’m sorry,” though it wasn’t immediately obvious at the time if this specifically related to his earlier comment about the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder’s children. Before that unclear apology, Ye had stated he would “never” apologize to the Carter family “until they help me with my children.” During that same month, Ye said he “obviously” hated Jay.

Apologies and similar statements aren’t unusual for Ye, who just last month announced he was “done with antisemitism.” At that point, he sought forgiveness and told fans he wanted to “save the world again” following a FaceTime call with his and ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s children. Days later, though, he seemed to have already sabotaged that apology.
